Claire qualified from Cambridge University in 1997 and has worked in small animal practice in the Manchester area ever since. She bought Southfields in 2006. She has recently completed a degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour at Lincoln University. Claire has 2 Cocker Spaniels, Kim and Tilly, 2 cats, Florence and Harvey, and owns the two Southfields snakes – Patrick and Katy.

Nurse Paula Gallimore

Paula has been a Registered Veterinary Nurse for 24 years and has been working for Southfields since we opened in 2006. She enjoys dentistry and nurse clinics and helps Claire with the behaviour referrals. Paula has a lovely little boy, Ronnie, born in February 2009, and two cats Morgan and Scooby doo.

Receptionist Carol Nicholls

Carol is our Practice Manager and Head Receptionist. She helps us to provide a welcoming and efficient service to all our clients. She also juggles three young children, Emma, Rosie and Thomas.

Vet Sarah Beardall

Sarah is also a Cambridge graduate, who had a career break to raise her children, William and Sophie (who helps on reception on Saturdays). She returned to practice in 2011 to work for Southfields, and we are so glad she did! Sarah is caring and compassionate, and is always willing to go that extra mile for her patients. Sarah has a gorgeous Border Collie, called Jess.

Nurse Jade Kinsey

Jade joined Southfields in September 2010 and completed her Veterinary Nursing Degree at Myerscough College in 2013. We are immensely proud of Jade, as she is Southfields first nursing trainee! Jade has two Labradors, mother and daughter Bella and Chaz, and a young Springer Spaniel, Rosie.

Nurse Jennie Ward

Jennie joined the practice in 2013 as a trainee Veterinary Nurse. She is the bubbliest member of our team, and loves to make us all smile. She is now a fully fledged RVN, having qualified from Nottingham University in 2015. She also has her own herd of pedigree cows on her farm in Northwich.

Vet Evan Holdsworth

Evan is our new Vet. He is an experienced veterinary surgeon, having qualified in 2006 from Liverpool University, and with a special interest in surgery. Evan has a daughter, Martha, and a cat, Dickens. Outside of work, he is a keen rock-climber.

Natasha Foster

Natasha Foster is the newest member of our team. She joined us in September 2014 as an Apprentice Nurse, training with LITE college in Stockport. She has 2 lovely Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and an African Grey Parrot called Crackles.

Emma Nicholls

Emma Nicholls is currently studying for her GCSEs at Ashton on Mersey Secondary School. She is still learning the skills of reception, so please be patient with her! Emma is an active member of Air Cadets and hopes to be flying high in the future.

Maxine Dutton

Maxine Dutton previously worked at Clarendon Vets, and after a few years working for the NHS, we are proud to have her return to work with Claire and the team at Southfields. She is an experienced veterinary nurse, but prefers to work now on reception in particular dealing with our clients insurance claims.
